Do you like mystery stories and novels? If you enjoy reading them, writing them, or are just interested in how they are written, Arizona Mystery Writers is for you. Arizona Mystery Writers is a nonprofit promoting mystery writing in Arizona for over twenty years. Some members are well-known, published authors, while others are only beginning the writing journey. Whether you’re a serious scribbler or haven’t got a clue, join us!
Monthly Lunch Meetings Open to All:
AMW meets the second Saturday of each month at El Parador Mexican Restaurant, 2744 East Broadway Blvd. (east of Tucson Blvd.), 10 am to 2 pm (http://elparadortucson.com). Meetings include two different speakers with lunch in between. Cost: $20 non-members and walk-ins, includes lunch; $15 for RSVP’d members. $10 for one session, morning or afternoon, no lunch.
The morning speaker might be a detective, FBI agent, US Marshal, Medical Examiner, forensic scientist, private investigator, psychologist, corrections officer, attorney. These are fascinating talks, useful for mystery writers. The afternoon workshop involves advice or practice in the craft of writing or publishing. The meetings are an opportunity to hang out with interesting people, have fun, and learn from other writers.
