April 11, 2015 Meeting – S.W.A.T.; Building a Platform

S.W.A.T. – everyone knows the acronym, but what you see on TV certainly isn’t the whole picture.  Join us in welcoming our morning speaker from the Pima County Sheriff’s Department to discuss the rumors and myths that swirl around this department, as well as give us a better understanding of what they really do.

We’ll have a selection of delicious lunch entrees to choose from, and a fun book raffle.

In the afternoon session, Ethel Lee Miller, a published author, educator, life coach and counselor, will speak on “building your writer platform.”  It’s no mystery that for success today, it’s more than the elevator pitch for your book. You need to know who you are, what you offer your readers, and they have to know you. It’s called a Writer Platform. Build a platform that is sturdy, attractive and will serve you for years. Join Ethel Lee Miller for this entertaining and practical talk.

RSVP by 9:30 am, Wednesday, April 8th to save your place. $20 non-members includes lunch. $16 RSVP’d members. Pay at the door.
